Wat meet de WOMAC?
De Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC) meet de invloed van gon-/coxartrose op pijn, stijfheid en lichamelijk functioneren en heeft betrekking op de afgelopen 48 uur.
Hoe is de PROM vragenlijst opgebouwd?
Deze vragenlijst bestaat uit 24 items, verdeeld over drie subcategorieën:
• Pijnindex (5 items)
• Stijfheid van het gewricht (2 items)
• Lichamelijk functioneren (17 items)
In de WOMAC wordt gebruik gemaakt van een 5-punts Likertschaal lopend van 0 tot 4.
Hoe werkt de WOMAC scoring?
Er wordt een totale somscore en een somscore per subcategorie berekend. Hoe hoger de somscore hoe meer invloed de klachten op pijn, stijfheid en functioneren hebben.
